There is no special storage conditions required, and every kit provides 70 tests, making easy to use and economical for swimming pool and hot tub owners and engineers.
KIT CONTENTS
- 1 x 30mls Reagent 1.
- 1 x 30mls Reagent 2

- Wait 10 minutes.
- 1 x Multilingual Instruction Sheet and colour scale.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
- Rinse the test vessel several times with the water sample and fill to the ring mark (5 mL).
- Add 6 drops of PO4-1 and mix by swirling.
- Add 6 drops of PO4-2 and mix by swirling.
- Wait 10 minutes.
- Place the measuring vessel in the outlined box below. Compare the colour produced in the vessel to the nearest matching colour on the colour chart.
PROFESSIONAL TIPS:
- If algae are present in the pool or spa water the test result may read zero. This is because all the phosphate has been consumed by the algae. It is therefore essential that prior to testing always ensure that all living algae, and algae spores, have been killed.
- If the test result is positive (the colour of the vial has turned blue) but shows a result greater than 20ppm you will need to carry out the following steps:
- Add 5ml of distilled water to the 5ml sample already taken and mix by swirling.
- Top up the tube with approximately 8mls of distilled water.
- Check the result against the colorimetric chart.
- Check the result.
- Multiply the result by a factor of two (2x) to give an accurate reading.
- If the phosphate level is above 10ppm you should contact your Lo-Chlor professional for further advice.
- Always store the kits in cool dry conditions.
